The Team are aware of the difficulties that current and former members of the armed forces and their families can face in finding somewhere to live and can work with you to produce a personalised housing plan. They also have details of the range of services and charities who work with the armed forces and can make referrals and ensure you get all the help you need.

Stockport has a shortage of available housing to rent, but we offer all current and former members of the armed forces and their families a one-one interview to talk through options that are available. Help with deposits and rent in advance for properties can also be provided in some circumstances, and support in applying for accommodation.

Our Housing Support Team can help anyone who is struggling to maintain a tenancy, or signpost you to the most appropriate service for the help you need.
