Robin Burman - Chair of the Board

Robin is the Chair of the Board and an independent Board Member who has lived in Stockport for over 30 years.

He is a Consultant and Commercial Lawyer (previously Senior Partner) at HLF Berry Solicitors. Robin has experience of serving on the Boards of other Housing Associations including Regenda and Contour.

Robin is committed to improving customers’ quality of life and access to opportunity through providing excellent services, reducing inequality and investing in the neighbourhoods in which people live.

David Beckett - Board member

David is an independent Board member. He is the Chief Executive of GO to DOC (GTD), a not for profit provider of primary care services across Greater Manchester. David has previously worked for other NHS organisations and brings valuable experience from outside the housing sector. His particular strengths are strategic planning, improving performance and combining a commercial approach to business with a sense of responsibility. David is the chair of the Audit & Risk Committee.

Jo Hague - Board member

Jo is a customer Board member. Jo has worked for Stockport Council for 18 years and has been a Stockport Homes tenant for six years. She makes a positive contribution to Stockport and Stockport Homes by being actively involved in her local community, supporting and organising events for local residents, attending Customer HUBS and as a customer Board member. Jo is a member of the Operations Committee.

Jenny Osbourne - Board member

Jenny is a stakeholder Board member. She brings experience of organisational leadership, social housing and commercial development to the Board. Jenny is Chief Executive of TPAS, the tenant empowerment organisation for England and is a passionate advocate tenant involvement of through partnerships with their landlord.

Alanna Vine - Board member

Alanna is a stakeholder Board member. She has represented Bramhall North as a Councillor since 2011. Previously she worked as a Regional Director for the World Wildlife Fund for 10 years overseeing volunteer activities and raising public awareness for the charity. Alanna’s commitment to sustainability is a valuable addition she brings to the Board. She also served as a Magistrate on the Inner Manchester Bench for several years, sitting on both the Adult and Youth benches. Alanna is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.

Christine Woolridge - Board member

Christine is a customer Board member. She really enjoys being on the Board and using her experiences from mystery shopping, the Quality Panel and our HUBs to improve services for customers. Christine is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.

Ken Lee - Board member

Ken is a retired qualified Accountant, Finance Director and Chief Executive with many years’ local government service. He continues to provide finance-related consultancy services through his own company.

His experience of working on and with Councils and Boards along with his national profile and knowledge in relation to Housing Finance are invaluable to Stockport Homes.

Ken’s interests include, Hockey umpiring and working his veg patch.

Peter Fitzhenry - Board member

Peter is an independent Board member who brings valuable commercial experience to the Board. He is a Governor at a Further Education college in Warrington and is a non-executive director of a social enterprise, Catering Crew. He has had a varied career in housing, working for diverse organisations, most recently as the Managing Director of Golden Gates Housing Trust. He has skills and experience relating to understanding risk, corporate governance, co-regulation, relationship building, performance management and an awareness of the impact of regulatory environment.

Sarah Keenan - Board member

Sarah is a stakeholder Board member who lives in the Borough. She works for Adactus Housing Association and has worked in the sector for over 15 years. She has developed a wide knowledge of Customer Service, Asset Management, Housing Management, Sheltered and Supported Housing. She has specialisms in mediation, advocacy, and restorative justice. Sarah is committed to improving Stockport Homes’ neighbourhoods, ensuring they are sustainable places to live.

Jamie Hirst - Board member

Jamie is a customer Board Member and a shared owner. He brings experience of working within regulated environments to the Stockport Homes’ Board including extensive knowledge of data protection obligations.

Jamie is currently an Analyst working for the University of Manchester, developing and maintaining Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases. He works across directorates at the University to integrate IT systems with operational processes.

Jamie has previously worked on a volunteer basis as a Commissioner within the Scout Association and was responsible for the successful local implementation of large scale change programme.

Steve Partridge - Board member

Steve is a senior leader and highly regarded national expert in housing finance with 25 years’ experience in public and private sectors in business planning, financing and development, specialising in social and affordable housing. Steve is currently a Director at Savills Housing Consultancy leading their work on local authority development, growth and business planning, as well as helping the housing sector and investors raise private finance for new models of affordable housing. Prior to this, Steve was Director of Financial Policy and Development at the Chartered Institute of Housing.
