Matt was a qualified Chartered Surveyor and worked in social housing for more than 30 years, primarily in development, before becoming Chief Executive at Great Places Housing Association in 2012.
Having successfully led significant growth at Great Places, Matt retired in 2024. He has subsequently taken on Non-Exec roles for South Yorkshire Housing Association, Jigsaw Homes and the Ashton Mayoral Development Zone. He has also established a Consultancy and worked with public and private sector clients.
Matt is a geography graduate and is passionate about the built environment and social justice. Having lived in Stockport for nearly 40 years, he is also passionate about Stockport and its success.
