As a Green Inspector, you'll carry out regular checks on green spaces maintained by our contractors. Here's what's involved in the role.
What you'll be doing
- Site Inspections - visit your assigned green space once every two weeks - that's six visits per site every three months.
- Navigation Made Easy - use simple maps to find inspection locations.
- Quality Checks - make sure the work meets our service standards.
- Quick Feedback - fill out a short form after each visit.
- Quarterly Meetings - join us four times a year to share your insights and help improve our services.
Time commitment
Expect to spend around 1–2 hours every two weeks on inspections, plus one meeting per quarter. It’s flexible and designed to fit around your schedule.
Who can apply?
To become a Green Inspector, you must be:
- 18 or older
- A Stockport Homes customer
- Interested in grounds maintenance - no experience needed!
What you'll get
While this is a voluntary role, we appreciate your time and effort. Once you've completed your inspections, you'll receive a Love to Shop voucher worth up to £25 as a thank you.
