GMP, Operation Vulcan and Stockport Homes unite to combat persistent Anti-Social Behaviour with successful property closures.
Last week, the Safer Neighbourhoods Service at Stockport Homes Group successfully sought a Full Closure Order for one property and a Partial Closure Order for another property in Heaton Norris, following ongoing concerns relating to anti-social behaviour and suspected criminal activity. Prior to seeking the closure orders, a range of enforcement and support interventions were undertaken. However, despite numerous opportunities to engage, behaviours did not change.
The successful outcome is the result of strong partnership working between Stockport Homes Group's Safer Neighbourhoods Service, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and Operation Vulcan. Through close collaboration, the agencies were able to gather sufficient evidence to support legal action, resulting in the full closure of one property and the partial closure of another.
These measures demonstrate a continued commitment by all partners to tackling anti-social behaviour, disrupting criminal activity, and protecting local communities from harm. The Safer Neighbourhoods Service will continue to monitor both addresses and work closely with partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents in the area.
