The Participation course gives a basic foundation of essential skills and knowledge for any voluntary role. It’s also really useful for a lot of paid roles as it covers a variety of useful skills.
The programme is modular and consists of ten units:
- Roles and Boundaries
- Problem Solving
- Communication Skills
- Working with Other People
- Effective Meetings
- Time Management
- Project Management
- Presentation Skills
- Marketing and Promotion for Communities
- Sources of Information
Learners can pick and choose which units they would like to do or complete all ten. Each unit is a three hour, interactive classroom session. Completion of all ten units is rewarded with a level 2 certificate in Participation.
This course has been designed with our customers in mind, it’s workbook assessed and has no homework, no tests and limited written work. The sessions are fun and practical with lots of exercises and activities.
