Helen worked in a number of North West housing authorities, covering 11 different jobs over 20 years before moving to Stockport. Helen set up Stockport Homes and has steered our success by improving customer services, bringing more money into the Borough, delivering physical improvements to the stock and growing the organisation. She is committed to continuing to improve living conditions for all of our customers, and to ensuring we are innovative in everything we do.

Sandra has worked in housing for over 20 years, starting as a Housing Officer in a District Council. After moving into developing policy, Sandra joined Stockport Council as a Policy and Research Manager. In this role Sandra developed a central team to work on the new challenges that faced housing organisations, including Audit Commission Inspectors. With the creation of Stockport Homes, Sandra became a Director, and in April 2017 become Assistant Chief Executive. Responsible for a range of services including IT, Governance, Performance, Risk and Audit and Marketing.

A fully qualified Chartered Accountant, Carmel joined Stockport Homes in 2006. After graduating with a degree in Business Law, Carmel gained experience in the private and public sector where she oversaw various innovative European Funding projects in Greater Manchester. Carmel is responsible for providing a high quality financial service to Stockport Homes and the Council, managing combined turnover of c£100m, ensuring the organisation has sound financial planning, governance, guidance, accounting and fulfils its corporate legal statutory obligations. Carmel is responsible for the organisation’s risk strategy and management framework, 30 year HRA Business Plans and funding models. Carmel manages the Customer Finance, Corporate Finance, People & Organisational Development and Assets & Development teams. Carmel is passionate about ensuring the organisation attracts, retains and develops the brightest stars in the sector, and knows that its our people who are our biggest assets.

John has over 20 years’ experience in housing, he joined Stockport Homes Group and Three Sixty in November 2017 after spending four years successfully leading the property services functions at Liverpool Mutual Homes. John, who lives in Stockport, has a wealth of experience in all aspects of property and maintenance services and is passionate about developing and supporting teams and individuals to deliver first class services to clients.

Si Welch - Director of Foundations

Si started at entry level within Stockport Council's housing management services 30 years ago and worked up through a variety of roles within the field. Latterly, this included Head of Service and Directorship with responsibilities for neighbourhoods, customer access and social inclusion, and a strong focus on modernising services. In addition, Si has experience of securing and delivering contracts and accessing new funding streams. Si is passionate about genuinely engaging with, and improving the outcomes for, customers and now as Director of Foundations is ideally placed to achieve this with a clear focus on a broad range of support and engagement related services; including customer engagement, social inclusion, anti-poverty, telecare, older people, employment, specialist and generic housing support, and housing options and homelessness provision.
