Stockport Homes Group works hard to maintain the neighbourhoods they manage and help customers and residents with any issues relating to Anti-social Behaviour, including fly-tipping.

The Stockport Homes team has been working on an extensive case of fly-tipping with a tenant who was captured several times on CCTV. The tenant was issued with a Community Protection Notice but despite this, the tenant failed to comply with the terms of the notice which is a criminal offence.

Stockport Homes has a zero-tolerance approach to this criminal activity and the case was taken to Stockport Magistrates Court for prosecution on 16th November where the tenant was found guilty of breaching the Community Protection Notice and was ordered to pay damages of £4000 within 28 days.

The decision to pursue legal action is something that we take extremely seriously and do so to ensure that our customers and residents can live in clean communities safely.
