Changes to Payment Dates this Easter 

Benefit Payments (including Universal Credit) 

Where your payment is due to be received and it is a weekend or bank holiday you will receive your payment early.  

For all benefit payments due on Friday 29^th March 2024 or Monday 1^st April 2024 you will be paid early on Thursday 28^th March 2024.

Don’t forget to leave any money for your Direct Debit in the bank as this might be taken later than normal even where your benefit payment is received early! More information on changes to Direct Debit payments is below 

Direct Debit Payments 

Because of the Easter weekend some Direct Debits will be taken from your bank account later than the agreed payment date; this is where payment dates fall on the weekend or on a bank holiday and will affect payments due between the Friday 29^th March 2024 and Monday 1^st April 2024.

If your payment is due between those dates it will be taken from your account on Tuesday 2^nd April 2024, unless we have agreed to take it early. You can contact the team on 0161 217 6016, option 3 and we might be able to arrange for the payment to be taken earlier and avoid this being missed.
