The Annual Gardening Competition is back!
Whether you are a keen gardener or simply love your outdoor space, amazing prizes worth up to £650 are up for grabs as Stockport Homes' annual gardening competition opens for 2024. Since its launch, the competition has highlighted the amazing individuals, community groups and neighbours that are brightening up our region by going the extra mile in enhancing their gardens. This year, we have 4 categories available for submissions:
Best Garden - 1st, 2nd, 3rd - £50, £30, £20
Best Container -1st, 2nd, 3rd - £50, £30, £20
Best Communal -1st, 2nd, 3rd - £50, £30, £20
Best Fruit and Veg - 1st, 2nd, 3rd - £50, £30, £20
The winners of each of these categories will automatically be shortlisted for the best in borough prize; a £250 Homebase voucher on behalf of our maintenance partners Glendale. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 4th August and independent judges will judge all entries to the competition from 5th to 9th August. Please read the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Terms and Conditions
Entrants must be a tenant, leaseholder or live in a Stockport Homes property. Parents /guardians are required to complete the entry on behalf of under 16s. Stockport Homes can refuse entries and the judge’s decision is final. Only one application per communal garden will be accepted and the prize will be awarded to the named person(s) on the application form. If you are entering in the communal garden category, you cannot enter the same garden into the individual garden category. Entries into the gardening competition must be received no later than Sunday 4th August 2024. Entries received after this date will not be entered into the competition. For each of the gardening categories there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place of £50, £30 and £20 of Love2Shop vouchers, plus a certificate. The best individual garden in the Borough will also receive a £250 Homebase voucher on behalf of our maintenance partners Glendale. There will be no cash alternatives, prizes are non-negotiable and. You can only nominate someone else if you have gained their approval. Independent judges will judge all entries to the competition from 5th to 9th August. The judges’ decisions will be final. Winners will be notified in writing. Winners’ names and photographs will be included within Stockport Homes’ publicity.
