Winners of Stockport Homes Gardening Competition 2019 are announced!

From beautiful baskets to most impressive newcomer, once again Stockport Homes customers provided judges with some tough decisions in the annual Gardening Competition.

Over thirty entries were made, with prizes of vouchers for first, second and third in each category to the value of £50, £30 and £20 respectively. Vouchers worth £250 were up for grabs for the Best in Borough award, along with four tickets to the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show.

Carol Simpson was named the deserving winner of the Best in Borough award, as judges were impressed with the huge amount of work and dedication she puts into her garden and agreed her passion was clear to see.

Unfortunately Carol was unable attend the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, so tickets went to worthy runner-up Shirley Moxham instead.

Jenny Osbourne, Chair of the Board, Stockport Homes, said:

“It's been wonderful to see the turnout of entries this year, thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to all our winners!"
