Stockport Homes Group manage over 12,000 homes across the Borough, and invest heavily to ensure the safety and security of over 30,000 residents.

Fire Safety is a top priority and Stockport Homes has to date invested 5 Million in replacing fire doors in homes across Stockport.

Stockport Homes Group who are committed to ensuring their residents live in safe homes and neighbourhoods, are taking part in the national Fire Door Safety week campaign, to raise awareness of the critical role of fire doors.

Fire Door Safety Week takes places 21 September to 27 September.

Now in its eighth year, Fire Door Safety Week is an awareness campaign that highlights the role that fire doors play in keeping people and property safe and the importance of good fire door safety practice.

During the week, Stockport Homes will be sharing facts and advice on fire door safety on their social media channels.

Jenny Osbourne, Chair of Stockport Homes Board, said:

The safety of our residents is a top priority for us. We have invested a lot into ensuring all our homes are fitted with compliant fire doors, the door sets we now install put not only us in a comfortable position but offers the highest level of protection for our residents.
