Minute's silence to mark Grenfell Tower anniversary

Posted 13 June 2018

Stockport Homes will join the nationwide one minute's silence on 14 June 2018 at midday, in remembrance of those who lost their lives and all others who were affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower one year ago

On the evening of Thursday 14 June, Stockport Town Hall will join town halls across the country lighting up in green to show solidarity with the victims and families of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Stockport's Trade Union Council will be holding a candlelight vigil to mark the anniversary at the Stockport Art Gallery at 6.30pm on 14 June. The vigil is open for all to attend.

On Friday 15 June, schoolchildren across the country are being asked to wear “green for Grenfell” to mark the anniversary, and raise funds for local charities. Schools are being asked to share their activities and photos on social media, using the hashtag #GreenForGrenfellDay
