Local community centre given a new lease of life

Posted 25 October 2019

The Arthur Greenwood community centre reopened its doors on Wednesday for the relaunch event, where the local community, community groups, staff, councillors and partners had the chance to see its new look.

The Mayor of Stockport officially opened the centre with a ribbon cutting.

The community centre is also home to the new Woodley Pantry, which opened its doors on Tuesday.

The centre had been under renovation for the past 6 months, with Threesixty and DASH working on the project.

Jenny Osbourne, Chair of the Board at Stockport Homes says,

What an amazing transformation, well done to everyone who has been involved. This is going to be a great community centre for years to come.

Mayor of Stockport, Laura Booth said

What a fantastic event, celebrating this great community centre, where the local community can get together. Well done to everyone involved.
