Fantastic turn out for Fresh Start

The official launch of Fresh Start, the weekly job club, where Stockport residents can get support in looking for jobs, took place on Friday.

Fresh start, welcomes anyone who needs help in finding a job, the job club takes place every Friday from 10am-3pm at First House, Brinnington.

Attendees got the chance to see the newly refurbished training suit, meet the people involved in Fresh Start, and hear about their journeys.

Partner agencies attended the event, as well as Robin Burman, Chair of the Board at Stockport Homes and The Mayor of Stockport, Councillor Linda Holt, who officially opened the job club.

Robin Burman, Chair of the Board at Stockport Homes said,

It was fantastic to see so many people attend today’s event and hear such positive feedback. The job club offers such a variety of bespoke support to and is making such a difference to local people.
