Stockport Homes cooks up award win as community café recognised

Stockport Homes has won the Community Achievement award at the 24Housing awards. The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 12th October 2017.

The company won the award for its partnership with community-led 1st Stop Café. The café is run by volunteers and Stockport Homes help to provide valuable support with learning opportunities and advanced training.

Robin Burman Chair of Stockport Homes' Board said,

We are thrilled to see our partnership with 1st Stop Café recognised for its impact in the local community. We work closely with the volunteers who run the café to provide advice, support and training opportunities which helps deliver sustainable and thriving communities.
