On 6th and 7th May, staff from Stockport Homes Group took part in Cyclone24 at the Manchester Velodrome in aid of its Charity of the Year, St Ann’s Hospice.
The team of six battled physical exhaustion and mental fatigue as they completed a relay cycle, changing over every 20 minutes, throughout a 24 hour time period from 12 noon on Saturday to 12 noon on Sunday. It truly was a challenge of strength, determination and team spirit!
The team consisted of: Andrew Fisher (Contract Administrator), James Amin (Corporate Applications Manager), Phillip Worthington (Customer and Community Engagement Officer), Molly Bishop (Charity Support and Development Officer), Jak Davies (Project Worker), and Chris Uzoigwe (IT Development Officer).
This is the first time St Ann’s Hospice has taken part in Cyclone24, with ten teams of six on the track. To date the overall total raised for St Ann’s is £4,515. Of this amount, Stockport Homes is proud to have raised an incredible £958! Donations are still being taken via https://24hrrelaychallenge.everydayhero.com/uk/stockport-homes-cyclone24
