A team from Stockport Homes Group including Chief Executive, Helen McHale, has trekked Scafell Pike to raise money for their Charity of the Year, Reuben’s Retreat.
‘Reuben’s Trekkers’ set off in the early hours of Saturday 21 July to climb 3,209 feet to the summit of England’s highest mountain. As the Group’s headline fundraising event for 2018, it was a physically demanding endurance challenge which pushed the team of 20 to their limits. So far they have raised nearly £4,000 with donations still coming in.
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes' Board said,
Congratulations to all of our staff who joined the ‘Reuben’s Trekkers’ team and everyone who supported them to raise money for our inspirational Charity of the Year. We are delighted to be helping them on their next phase of ‘Reuben’s Journey’
Reuben’s Retreat is a charity that was born in memory of Reuben Michael Graham who tragically passed away aged 23 months.
The charity’s goal is to provide a retreat in the North West of England countryside that will relieve the distress of families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness.
