Stockport Homes Group prepare for charity trek up Scafell Pike

Posted 26 June 2018

The team, named 'Reuben's Trekkers', will tackle England's tallest mountain to raise money for Reuben's Retreat

On 21 July 2018, a team of around 20 staff members at Stockport Homes will be braving a climb to the top of England’s highest mountain, in aid of Reuben’s Retreat, Stockport Homes’ charity of the year 2018.

The physically demanding feat will be taken on by the volunteers, who have been named ‘Reuben’s Trekkers’, and will involve them making their way up the 3,209 feet to the summit.

Tracy Sweeting, Stockport Homes’ Health and Wellbeing coordinator and one of the team members said,

“With weeks left before we climb Scafell Pike, the nerves are starting to set in, but knowing that we’re doing it for Reuben’s Retreat makes all the blisters worthwhile.
On behalf of the Reuben’s Trekkers team, I would like to say a huge thank you to Direct Promotions for once again sponsoring and providing us with fabulous personalised hoodies and t-shirts, we really appreciate it!”
