Charity of the Year 2016

Posted 08 February 2016   |   By Nicola Poulter

Our staff have voted for St. Ann’s Hospice to be our corporate Charity of the Year for 2016.

St. Ann’s Hospice is a local charity, caring for and helping around 3,000 patients who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses, over the age of 16, every year.

Their help and support extends to patient’s families and carers to help them through difficult times in their lives.
Stockport Homes’ Chair of the Board David Wright said:

We are thrilled to be able to help raise as much money and awareness around the fantastic work by everyone at St. Ann’s Hospice. Their level of support and commitment, in such difficult circumstances, plays such an important role and we’ll be doing a variety of fundraising through the year to support the great work they do.

Acting Chief Executive at St Ann’s Hospice, Rachel McMillan said:

We’re delighted that staff at Stockport Homes voted for St Ann’s Hospice as their charity of the year for 2016. We have to raise £16,000 each day to continue to provide the highest quality care to the people who need it most, so we depend on companies such as Stockport Homes to help us raise the money we need to support people and their families within Greater Manchester.

Stockport Homes will be taking part in a range of events throughout the year to help raise as much money as possible for the charity.
