Stockport Homes’ annual Christmas card design competition has raised over £300 for homeless people in Stockport. The four winning pictures were chosen from entries received from residents at Stockport Homes’ three Temporary Accommodation Schemes, Stockport Women’s Aid and service-users from the Wellspring and Nightstop.
The winning festive pictures were turned into professionally produced packs of cards for sale. The cards were sold across Stockport, with all monies raised going towards projects to help other homeless households in the future. A local business, the Image Group also agreed to produce the cards for free.
Elaine Dishong, Director of Housing Need and Support Services, Stockport Homes said, “Congratulations and thank you to everyone who entered this year’s competition. It’s great to see projects like this which help people develop new skills as well as raising money.”
