Helen McHale, Chief Executive of Stockport Homes has been ranked as the 22nd most influential person in UK housing by 24Housing magazine in its annual ‘Power Players’ list.
The Chief Executive was praised by the magazine the good work she does within the housing sector, and pushing for more social housing in the North West, whilst staff describe her as inspirational.
The pleasing issue for Stockport Homes is that it is the high regard that Stockport Homes is held in within the sector that brings Helen acclaim, as she is credited with the leadership that brought it about.
Stockport Homes Board Member, Jenny Osbourne has also again featured within the top 50 at number 32. Jenny is Chief Executive at TPAS (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) and ensures that tenants have a strong voice within housing.
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes Board said
This achievement for our Chief Executive to be within the ‘Top 50’ power players is testament to her passion, dedication and hard work for Stockport Homes customers, communities and staff. Helen constantly seeks to reduce inequalities for our residents and in the neighbourhoods in which we work and to provide support in these challenging times, along with seeking to develop the supply of housing, supporting innovative construction in the area in the form of modular homes. Many congratulations also to my fellow Board member, Jenny Osbourne who always ensures residents have a voice and are at the heart of all that we do, her work on the Board is much appreciated.
